Data we hold
Nothing is collected from you deliberately. The web server writes an access log as every web server does: which page, when, from what browser, arriving from where, with the address shortened. Email you send is retained with your address so a reply can be sent.
Cookies on this site
No tracking cookie originates here. A cookie may appear if you comment or log in. Anything set by Amazon after you follow a link is set by Amazon.
Amazon and your data
Product links point to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag. When you follow one, Amazon can see that you arrived from this site and may set cookies of its own. From that point Amazon’s privacy notice governs what happens, not ours. Amazon reports sales totals to us; it does not tell us who bought anything.
Analytics
An analytics tool may be in use to show which pages get read and where readers came from. It reports numbers and sources, not identities.
What you can ask us to do
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and the site will still work. Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted — for example under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, or under California law. Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it.
Children
Nothing here is directed at children, and we do not knowingly gather data about anyone under the age at which consent is required where they live.
Changes
Revisions are published here, replacing what came before. We do not keep old versions on the site.
